ABOUT SARASWATI MEDICAL COLLEGE CENTRAL LIBRARY
In the modern world of information explosion an effective library and information service is a basic necessity for any educational institute. To fulfill this requirement SARASWATI MEDICAL COLLEGE CENTRAL LIBRARY believes in dissemination of right information to the right user at the right time with least effort, thus we thrive restlessly to achieve this goal in brakeless circle.
Saraswati Medical College Central Library is fully Automated Library.
To cater the information thirst of our enthusiastic students and learned Faculty members, Library holds more than 10,000+ volumes of print and e-books in various fields majorly in Medicine along with fiction, general and motivational subjects. Library provides separate space to study for students, faculty members, doctors and research fellows with a total seating capacity of 500+ in peaceful and air-conditioned environment.
SMC Central Library subscribes about 800+ National and International Journals in Digital and Print form yearly and also stocks a good number of back volumes of Journals.
A Computer Centre is situated within the Library premises with 40 nodes connected to high speed internet connection to provide access to subscribed journals and as well as various online open access journals, e-books, full text articles and different bibliographic databases.
Establishment of A Digital Library is in progress.
Library also provides Reprography services to our users on nominal payment.
Library Timings :
- Week days : 8.00 am to 8.00 pm
- Sundays : 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
- Closed on gazetted holidays
